The ex-Oasis frontman has revealed he’s spoken to the former Stone Roses guitarist about the possibility of working on a side project.
Liam Gallagher has confirmed he's talked to John Squire about forming a supergroup.
The former Oasis frontman brought out the former Stone Roses guitarist for his pair of Knebworth shows back in June, to perform the Oasis 1995 classic Champagne Supernova.
After the landmark gig, Gallagher took to Twitter to tease potential future projects with the 59-year-old fellow Mancunian, writing: “Super group incoming LG JS.”
Now, speaking on Apple Music 1’s Home Sessions, Liam confirmed the pair are going to work together at "some point" and he's hoping to sing on some tunes for him.
When asked if the pair had any plans, he said: "Yeah. Serious, man. But we've got things to do first, and he's got things to clear up and that. But yeah, I'm definitely going to do summat at some point."
Asked if they’d actually had the conversation about a collab, he said: “Maybe, yeah. Probably did that at Knebworth and that, I think, if I can remember anything about it.
“But, no. There's talk about summat. Maybe. But no rush. He's my man, I love him. So if he's got any tunes that need singing, I'm the boy, mate.”

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher turned 50 this Wednesday 22nd September and told Radio X he would celebrate his milestone year in style on the Island of Mustique.
Speaking to Radio X's Johnny Vaughan about his birthday plans, the Supersonic rocker revealed: "I’m out of the country, man. I’m going to the Caribbean, about 20 of us. Mustique."
He went on: "I’m gonna go there because there's no d*cks with phones. There’s none of that. So what happens on Mustique stays on Mustique. We're gonna have that for a week."
However, Liam admits that his hard partying days may be behind him."Mind you, I say that and I’ll go in on the first night and be in bed crying for the next couple of days.
"But there you go, I'll give it a good go."

This exclusive Radio X show took place on Liam's birthday back in September 2019 and if you were there, you'll recall it was a raucous night, with Liam smashing through Oasis tunes and solo hits in a venue much too small for him.
Then Rich Wolfenden took the Evening Show to Knebworth with highlights of Liam's enormous show on 3rd June earlier this year as he made his biblical return to that iconic field.
