According to reports, you can buy tickets to the festival before April if you're a permanent resident from these 35 local areas.

Thousands of music-lovers were left disappointed after tickets for Glastonbury 2019 went on sale for the first time this month.

Despite the resale taking place in April, it turns out that there's another opportunity for would-be Glasto fans to buy tickets this week.

There's just one TINY catch.

As reported by Somerset Live, there's a separate sale in October for people who live in local catchment areas surrounding the festival... And there's more of them than you think!

According to the outlet, the local ticket sale will take place on Thursday 18 October from 12pm and it is expected to go live at this link https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/go/gf19local.

It also states on the official Glastonbury website under the "Local and Sunday tickets" section: "The local ticket sale is an extra opportunity for local residents to secure general admission tickets, however we’d always advise trying the main ticket sales first, to maximise your chances of getting tickets."

Unfortunately, if you're just reading this and you haven't registered, you still won't be able to get a ticket. local, or otherwise.

The website states: "In order to preserve the local ticket sale, registration will be suspended in advance and throughout the local sale period. If you are not already registered, you will not be able to book tickets in this sale. Registration will reopen only on 1st November 2018."

Somerset Live states that up to four tickets can be bought by a local buyer, but "festival organisers say every ticket purchased during the local sale should be for someone who is a local resident".

Make of that what you will.
