Peter Crouch when he accidentally locked his wife out of the house!
Here's an awkward story that put paid to Crouchy's gaming career...
This week, Chris Moyles was joined by our old friend Peter Crouch and he had an embarrassing tale of the time he locked his wife Abbey Clancy out of the house... when playing on the old Xbox.
Chris was asking if it was weird for a professional footballer to play FIFA when they're more used to playing the game in real life.
Crouchy said: "No, it's not weird at all. We'd all meet up - I mean in the virtual world - after training."
However, his days as a gamer were numbered.
He laughed: "I think my career finished when Ab was locked out of the house, when I was playing Call Of Duty!"
Peter went on: "I had the headphones on and the mic - and I obviously had no idea! She's outside for ages, banging on the door and I'm telling people to get down! Frag out!
"She went to the neighbour and they've let her in and I'm still in there, dark room, headphones on. And the look she gave me... 'You LOSER'!"
And that was the end of Peter Crouch's Call Of Duty campaign.
"After that look she gave me, I looked at myself then and thought, I'd better leave this!"
