Download festival announces next wave of acts for 2019

Smashing Pumpkins and Slayer, who will play their final UK show at the festival, have joined the line-up at Donington Park.

Download have confirmed 23 more acts for the festival in 2019.

The world's premiere rock and heavy metal festival has announced Slayer will play their last ever UK show at the event, joined by the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, and Eagles of Death Metal.

The three-day festival, which takes place 14-16 June 2019 at the spiritual home of rock in Donington Park, Leicestershire, will also play host to Lamb of God Dream Theatre and Anthrax.

These acts join previously announced mammoth acts in Slipknot, Tool and Def Leppard.

Last year's Download saw headliners in Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N' Roses and Ozzy Osbourne.
