The Charlatans Biography
The Charlatans are one of the UK's most loved indie rock bands.
Formed in 1989 by bassist Martin Blunt, the band became synonymous with the Madchester scene. Having undergone numerous personnel changes over the years, 2013 saw the passing of drummer Jon Brookes. The band were joined in tribute at the Royal Albert Hall by James Dean Bradfield, Liam Gallagher and members of the Vaccines and New Order in a tribute gig.
Earlier this week Tim Burgess posted cryptic hints about the band playing a secret set at Glastonbury and now those rumours have been confirmed.
