Biffy Clyro to headline Irish festival in 2019, weeks before Reading & Leeds takes place

The Many of Horror trio are set to top the bill at Indiependence Festival 2019, which takes place in Cork.

Biffy Clyro have been confirmed to headline Ireland's Indiependence Festival 2019.

The festival - which takes place from 2-4 August in Mitchelstown, Cork - has announced the Scottish trio as their first headliners, along with Bastille.

The Irish festival date still leaves a healthy space for the rockers to recuperate and potentially play Reading & Leeds festival, which takes place on 23-26 August- bank holiday weekend.

Simon Neil and co. last headlined the festival in 2016, following the release of their No.1 Ellipsis album.

In 2017 they headlined Glasgow's inaugural TRNSMT festival and Download festival, while this 2018 saw the band go on to release their MTV unplugged album and its subsequent tour.
