Woman arrested in connection with death of 34-year-old woman in Aberdeen

A woman has been arrested over the death of another woman in Aberdeen.

Police were called to a report of an injured woman at an address in the city's Auchinleck Road at around 2.30am on Wednesday.

Emergency crews responded and a 34-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she died a short time later.

Police Scotland said a 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death.

A force spokesperson added: "Enquiries are ongoing."
