Man charged with kidnap and sexual assault of nine-year-old girl

A man has been charged with kidnap and sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl in Knightsbridge, central London.

Robert Prussak, 56, of no fixed abode, was also charged with administering a substance with the intention of stupefying or overpowering to enable sexual activity and an offence with the intent to commit a sexual offence, the Metropolitan Police said.

It comes after a nine-year-old girl was reported missing on Brompton Road in London on Monday.

Prussak was later arrested after he was stopped by officers in the company of the girl at Old Court Place in west London.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court today. He was further remanded to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 22 May.
