Nothing But Thieves - Ban All the Music

Singer Conor Mason's passionate vocals lead the Southend band's soaring, electric sound that's been inspired by Muse, Kasabian and Jeff Buckley.

Guitarist Dom Craik of Nothing But Thieves admits that he was bowled over by singer Conor Mason's voice the first time heard it at school. The pair started jamming and together with songwriting friend Joe Langridge-Brown form the nucleus of the band, supplemented by James Price on drums and Philip Blake on bass.

Once the band got together, a trip to America provided the inspiration to help them develop their own sound. Conor says: "We came back and managed to figure out the kind of sound that we wanted to go for...It was progression. We felt like we became better songwriters with every song."

When they unleashed those songs late in 2013, the reaction was immediate and the band now has a steadily-growing army of fans. Last November's single Wake Up Call and its eye-catching video showed the progression in their sound and gave some indication that Nothing But Thieves will leave a lasting impression in 2015.

The Southend band will release their debut album this Spring on the RCA Victor label and tour the UK through February.
