The Most Outrageous BRIT Awards Moments Ever
3. Jarvis Cocker moons Michael Jackson, 1996
Jarvis Cocker achieved genuine folk hero status in this country with this daft but entirely appropriate show of protest. Michael Jackson hijacked the BRITs by filling the stage with singing children and sundry "poor" people to the strains of his semi-biblical epic Earth Song. Jarvis and his mate Peter Mansell managed to wander onto the stage and were quickly ushered off, but not before the Pulp singer had waved his bum at the audience. He was subsequently detained on suspicion of "assault" - but he took trained solicitor (and comedy legend) Bob Mortimer with him and was released without charge. WIN.
