Three PAYG Radio Competition – Radio X Network
March – April 2019
Rules
- The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at http://www.radiox.co.uk/terms-conditions/competition/ (the “ Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions apply to ‘Three PAYG’ radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from 00:01 Tuesday 12th March to 23:59 Sunday 21st April 2019 on Radio X (the “Radio Station”).
- Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.
Entry Method
- At various times throughout the Promotion Period (from 00:01 Tuesday 12th March 2019 to 23:59 Tuesday 21st April 2019) listeners will be invited by presenters to submit a photo of a mundane activity that they carry out in their daily life, via Twitter or Instagram (as appropriate) via the below process:
On Instagram
Share your photo by tagging @RadioX in the image itself, and include the hashtag #SetMeFree as part of your social post.
On Twitter
Share your image by mentioning @RadioX as part of the social post and include the hashtag #SetMeFree.
- Entrants must be following the @RadioX Twitter or Instagram account (as appropriate), to be eligible to win.
- Examples of these images could include the Entrant’s commute to work, their standard lunch, or their weekly chores.
MINOR PRIZE
Minor Prize Selection
- All valid entries will be individually judged by representatives of the Promoter (at the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) between 09:00 and 17:00 each Monday during the promotion period, on the following dates:
- 18th March
- 25th March
- 1st April
- 8th April
- 15th April
- Representatives of the Promoter will Direct Message up to 10 of the Entrants on the platform they used to upload their image, and award them a place on the Standby List. The contacted Entrants will then have 48 hours to respond with the requested information: first name, last name, contact number, email address and date of birth.
- From the Entrants on the Standby List, Representatives of the Promoter will select 1 winner from those contacted, phone them on the contact number provided and invite them to appear on-air between 13:00 and 16:00 on a Friday during the promotion period, and award them the Minor Prize.
- For the avoidance of doubt, each week’s Minor Prize winner will be selected from the entries submitted each week up until 23:59 each Sunday.
- Entrants may submit as many photos as they wish, however they will only be eligible to win one Minor Prize during the campaign Period.
- For the avoidance of doubt, all Minor Prize winners are still eligible to win the Major Prize.
- For the avoidance of doubt, only people who are put to air and awarded the Minor Prize on air will be deemed the winner.
MAJOR PRIZE
Finalist Selection
- Entries for the Major Prize will close at 23:59 Sunday 21st April 2019.
- Between 09:00 and 17:00 on Monday 22nd April representatives of the Promoter will select five of the “best” entries from all eligible entries (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) which have been submitted to the Competition during the Promotion Period, based on the Judging Criteria (as outlined below).
- Representatives of the promoter will Direct Message the Entrants with the “best” entries on the platform they used to upload their image. The contacted Entrants will then have 48 hours to respond with the requested information: first name, last name, contact number, email address and date of birth.
- Representatives of the Promoter will place all five finalists on a Standby List. All finalists will need to be available to answer their phone between 06:30 and 10:00 on Friday 26th April 2019 to take part in the Major Prize Draw.
Major Prize Draw
- The draw will take place on Friday 26th April 2019 at the Promoter’s premises at Global, 30 Leicester Square, London, between the hours of 06:30 and 10:00. The random draw will take place between the five finalists that have been placed on the Standby List.
- The winning finalist will be called via phone by representatives of the Promoter and will be asked to appear on-air to be awarded the Major Prize.
- For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter’s decision is final and no discussion will be entered into.
Judging Criteria
- All valid entries will be judged by representatives of the Promoter, based on originality, creativity and suitability or as otherwise stated by the Promoter (at the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion).
Entry Restrictions
- Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
- To enter the Competition an Entrant must follow @RadioX on Instagram or Twitter.
- The Entrant’s Instagram and Twitter accounts must not be registered as private. Internet access and a valid Instagram or Twitter account is required.
- Winning entries will be selected by representatives of the Promoter based on originality, creativity and suitability or as otherwise stated by the Promoter.
- Entrants may be contacted at any point during the Promotion Period in the form of Direct Message, on the platform they used to upload their photo or video (Twitter or Instagram).
- Entrants must be contactable and respond via Instagram or Twitter (as appropriate) within 48 hours of being contacted by Radio X and provide the relevant contact details requested. If the contacted Entrant fails to reply to the Promoter within 48 hours of being contacted or does not provide valid information requested by the promoter, then they will forfeit their eligibility to win the prize.
- For the avoidance of doubt, only Entrants who have been contacted by phone will be considered for the prize and be deemed a winner.
- For the avoidance of doubt, only Entrants who appear on-air will be considered for the prize and be deemed a winner.
- For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter’s decision is final and no discussion will be entered into.
- Photos will not be considered an eligible entry if they are deemed as rude, offensive, illegal or condoning dangerous behaviour.
- Entrants can only win one Minor Prize per person across the competition.
- If the caller fails to answer a return call from Global, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over or cannot continue the call for any reason the call may be terminated, and another winner selected. If winners cannot be contacted within 48 hours on Twitter or Instagram or brought to air, they may forfeit their chance to win the prize.
- The Entrant must have the permission of anyone pictured in their uploaded photo.
- Anyone featured in uploaded photos between the age of 13 and 17 must have permission from a parent or guardian before the photo is uploaded.
- Photos must not feature anyone under the age of 13 years old.
- Only the Entrant who posts the photo will be eligible to win the Prize.
- Entries must not include any products that are considered a competitor to Three. Any entry that features a competitor, as determined by Radio X, will not be eligible
- If, as determined at Radio X’s discretion, there are no eligible and valid entries that meet the criteria the competition will be declared void and no prize will be awarded.
- By submitting a photo via Twitter or Instagram using #SetMeFree you: (i) warrant that you control all copyright and all other rights (including, without limitation, performers’ rights) in and to such image; and (ii) confirm the grant by you to the Radio Station, Global Radio, a worldwide, perpetual, royalty free licence in the copyright and all other rights in and to the image including, without limitation, performers’ rights) and you waive any moral rights and like rights you have in relation to the image, so that the Radio Station (and Global Radio) shall be entitled to use the photo in any and all media at no cost to the Radio Station (and Global Radio) and such use shall not infringe the rights of any third party.
Prizes:
There are 5 Minor Prizes and 1 Major Prize to be won, consisting of:
Minor Prize
- 5 x £1,000 cash
- The Minor Prize will be sent in the form of a BACS bank transfer and will be paid within 28 days of the winner being awarded the prize.
Major Prize
- 1 x £30,000 cash
- The Major Prize will be delivered to the Prize winner’s nominated address via bank cheque within 28 days of the winner being awarded the prize.
