Warrington Borough Council has set up memorial fund for Viola Beach, following their tragic passing last month.

The organisation has lent its support to help set up a "fitting" memorial in the town, commemorating Kris Leonard, Jack Dakin, Tom Lowe, River Reeves and their manager Craig Tarry, who died in a car accident in Sweden.

The council website explains: "The council is hosting a memorial fund account for the victims of the tragedy. The money raised will be used by the families to commission a memorial for the four band members and their manager who tragically died in the accident."

Relatives of the band said they hoped the memorial would “mark Viola Beach’s musical impact on the town”.

Find out how to donate, and read all the messages from their family members on the website.

Meanwhile, the band are set to be remembered this Saturday (2 April) with a memorial concert at Warrington's Parr Hall.

The Coral, Blossoms, Eliza and the Bear, The Kooks and Courteeners frontman Liam Fray have all been confirmed for the event, which starts at 6pm.
