WATCH: Trailer For Thom Yorke-Scored Horror Film Suspiria

The first trailer for the remake of the classic 70s witchcraft and slasher movie has dropped… and it’s freaking people out.

The first trailer for the remake of the classic 1970s horror Suspiria has arrived - and it’s already making genre fans delight at the moody vibe and Thom Yorke soundtrack.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, who helmed Call Me By Your Name, the film is a reworking of Dario Argento’s infamous 1977 tale of witchcraft, death and sinister goings-on at a ballet school in Germany.

The new version stars Dakota Johnson as an America who joins an acclaimed dance academy, but quickly realises the power behind the business is something rather supernatural.

The new Suspiria stars Tilda Swinton, Chloe Grace Moretz, Lutz Ebersdorf and Mia Goth and is expected on 2 November.

Radiohead man Yorke has put his own spin on the music for the film, where the original had the fiendish jazz-rock of Italian band Goblin, and Guadagnino’s imagery is a lot more toned-down and grungy than the Technicolor fireworks of the 1977 version.

The teaser has already attracted quite a lot of buzz on Twitter:
