The Who announce tour for 50th anniversary

The Who

The legendary rock band will tour the UK later this year.

The tour, which will start in Glasgow, has been labelled as "the beginning of a long goodbye" by Roger Daltrey. It's to mark their 50th anniversary, but the singer doesn't quite see it that way.

"I would say that for 13 years The Who didn’t really exist, so we are really only 37."

Daltry added that while this is a goodbye tour, it's "open ended."

Townshend goes on to say that there's "no reason" they can't write new music, but he's concerned about the public's interest in it. Could we have a new Who album by the end of the year?
