The New York five-piece confirmed a Hyde Park gig a few days ago - but now say they won't be playing at Glastonbury.

The Strokes have moved fast to shoot down rumours that they'd be playing Glastonbury this year.

Just two days after they announced a Hyde Park show for summer 2015, the band took to their official Twitter account to deny rumours they would also be playing Worthy Farm.

The Tweet read: "For those kindly asking, nopes, no Glasto' this year!"

Also on the bill for their 18 June Hyde Park show are Temples, Public Service Broadcasting, Gengahr and The Wytches. Blur and The Who will also play London shows in the park this summer.

Tickets go on sale for the Strokes' gig on Friday morning at 9am. In the meantime, check out our gallery of who might still play Glasto.
