The National are going to play their song Sorrow on a loop for six hours in the name of art.

The exhibition is being put on by MoMA PS1in New York as part of a durational performance called A Lot of Sorrow by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson.

According to the gallery, "by stretching a single pop song into a day-long tour de force the artist continues his explorations into the potential of repetitive performance to produce sculptural presence within sound."

It means the band could end up play the 3.25 track more 105 times.
