Caroline Dubois warns Jessica Camara ahead of Sheffield fight: I'm no Choi. I'd knock her out and I'll knock you out

Jessica Camara believes she can upset WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois when they fight on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.

Camara is no stranger to springing surprises. She handed a first defeat to former world champion Hyun Mi Choi on points over 10 rounds in Korea last year.

"I like taking big fights and I like a challenge," said Camara.

The Canadian might have suffered four defeats in her 18-bout professional career but Choi is not the only big-name boxer she has beaten. Camara previously defeated American star Heather Hardy too.

"I believe I am special. I've done things the hard way in my career and I take pride in that. I believe I come out on top on Saturday," Camara said.

But Dubois fired back at once. She was not impressed by Camara's win over Choi.

"Not at all. Choi, I think a lot of girls were gunning for her for a reason," the Londoner declared.

She told Camara directly: "Credit to you but I'm no Choi, I would have stopped Choi, I would have knocked her out and I intend to do the same against you on Saturday.

"It's not going to be a challenge, it's going to be a mountain to get over.

"I'm here, I'm coming, I'm at 135lbs and this is my division."

'I'm the real deal'

Also on Saturday's bill in Sheffield, Callum Simpson will defend the British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles against dangerous challenger Steed Woodall.

Simpson won his belts on a memorable night at Oakwell Stadium in his Barnsley hometown when he overcame Zak Chelli.

Woodall, though, impressively knocked out the talented Lerrone Richards and will be a threat on Saturday when they box at the Canon Medical Arena in Sheffield.

The champion, though, is promising a display of "Yorkshire grit".

"Every fight's a must-win fight," Simpson said. "Every fight we try and step up in levels.

"I wanted to defend my British and Commonwealth titles and Steed was up there as the hardest fight and that's what I wanted.

"I'm looking forward to proving I'm the real deal."
