Slipknot announced for Download Festival 2015

The masked metal rockers have been revealed as headliners for next year's festival.

The metal festival, which takes place every year just outside Derby, has announced its first set of headliners. Slipknot will take the stage next summer, alongside Judas Priest, Five Finger Death Punch and Black Stone Cherry. Loads more artists are to be announced.

Last year, Download Festival was headlined by Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park & Aerosmith.

Corey Taylor, Slipknot's lead singer, has recently been chatting with Radio X about the new album The Gray Chapter. You can listen to Taylor speaking with Ian Camfield on the Rockshow here.

Download tickets go on sale on Thursday at 9am.
