The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame has announced its list of nominations for 2017.

Grunge-rockers Pearl Jam and Jane's Addiction are among the acts to receive a nomination, which will see them with a chance of becoming fully fledged inductees next year.

The list has also recognised electronic pioneers with German outfit Kraftwerk and British trio Depeche Mode also receiving an honour.

Also flying the flag for Britain are ELO, The Zombies and Yes, while classic American rockers MC5 and Journey also get a mention.

RnB and soul icons Chaka Khan and Janet Jackson have also received an honour, while US rapper Tupac Shakur and American soul singer Joe Tex are among those to receive a posthumous nod.

For the fifth year running, the public can vote for their Top 5 nominees until 6 December.

The top five acts will make up a "fan's ballot" that will count as one of the votes that make up the 2017 inductees.
