New Order

Bernard Sumner has hinted New Order may be working with former LCD Soundsystem man James Murphy.

"I can't talk about any of that just yet,” Sumner said in an interview with Consequence of Sound, in response to a question about if they would ever consider working with James or his DFA label.

"But there is news in the offing.

"We can't really talk about it, we're in the process."

Meanwhile, Bernard Sumner is releasing his autobiography - called Chapter and Verse - later this month.

"Joy Division and New Order have both left quite a legacy but up until now I've been happy to let the music speak for itself. Somehow it feels like the right time to give my personal perspective both on my own life story and the many bands I’ve been in," he said of the book.

Chapter and Verse is out 24 September.
