The announcement was made by Hong Kong's Clockenflap festival, where the band were due to perform.

LCD Soundsystem have appeared to cancel their upcoming Asian tour dates due to scheduling conflicts involving the recording of their new album.

As NME reports, the news was revealed by Hong Kong's Cockenflap festival, where the electro outfit were due to perform this November.

Taking to their official Facebook account, the festival wrote: "Regrettably, we have some unfortunate news to share, as due to studio scheduling conflicts related to their new album, LCD Soundsystem have had to cancel their upcoming Asian tour at the end of the year, now including their appearance at Clockenflap 2016."

They added: "We are as disappointed as you are with this news. We wish them all the best with their recording and look forward to welcoming them to HK at another time"

The band have yet to release an official statement online.

Meanwhile, LCD have announced a string of Back From The Dead tour dates in North America during 2017, where fans can enter via ballot.
