The Facebook page was launched to honour drummer Craig Gill, following the sad news of his passing this week.
Inspiral Carpets fans have launched a campaign to get the band to No.1 this Christmas, following the death of their drummer Craig Gill.
This Tuesday (22 of November), the Oldham band shared the sad news that their "brother" and founding member had passed away, aged just 44.
To honour the late drummer, fans have now launched a Facebook campaign to get their 1994 single, Saturn 5, to No.1 this year.
Watch it below:
Rob McCoy - Craig Gill's childhood friend who started the campaign - told the Manchester Evening News: "He lived a couple of streets away when we were younger, and Craig was always the super talented one. That was one of the reasons we knew, when he joined the band at 14, that they would be a successful band."
He added: “We’re doing this for a lad that was the kind of person you’d want in your group of friends because he was just such a great lad.”
Inspiral Carpets described Gill as the "the beating heart of the band in more ways than one."
