The Pop Idol runner up Tweeted that he wasn't happy with the Scottish band's performance. Twitter replied in the way you might expect.
Gareth Gates found himself in Twitter's brutal firing line on Saturday after saying he thought Barclaycard Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers were "shit."
The popstar, whose last album came out in 2007, said "Watching Glastonbury...Bands Like Young Fathers offend me. Is this talent? Is this musicianship? No. It's shit."

Twitter responded in the way you'd expect it to. Whilst there was a little support for Gates, largely fans were attacking him. Jordan Stevens wrote "but your cover of Spirit In The Sky will go down in history, right?"
Young Fathers were playing Glastonbury's Other Stage on Saturday afternoon. They have yet to response to the comment.
