Jamie XX, Blur, Florence + The Machine, Wolf Alice and Foals are among those to receive nods.
James Bay and Adele have led the nominations for this year's BRIT Awards 2016 with MasterCard. The full list of nominations were announced today (14 January) at the BRITs Are Coming show, where Jack Garratt received his Critics' Choice prize.
Bay is up for four gongs, including best British Male Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act and MasterCard British Album Of The Year for Chaos and the Calm.
The Hitchin singer-songwriter - who won the BRITs Critics' Choice Award last year - is also up for best British Single With Capital for Hold Back The River.
The singer is matched only by Years and Years and Adele, who has four nominations for British Female Solo Artist, British Single With Capital, MasterCard British Album Of The Year and British Artist Video Of The Year.
However, it is yet to be seen if Adele will take the BRITs Global Success Award, which is identified by the global sales success of British Artists on their latest project, taking sales from 1 January 2015- 31 December 2015.
Jamie XX and Florence + The Machine have both been nominated for the MasterCard British Album, while also receiving a nod for British Male and British Female Solo Artist, respectively.
Up for the Best British Group gong are Blur, Coldplay (who are also up for British Album) and Foals, who will battle it out along with One Direction and Years & Years.
Catfish and the Bottlemen and Wolf Alice have also been recognised in the category for British Breakthrough Act, while Eagles Of Death Metal and U2, have received nods for Best International Group.
The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 24 February, where the late David Bowie is set to be honoured for his contribution to music.
