The ex-Happy Mondays man and his bandmate Kermit have joined forces with Paul Oakenfold and Goldie on the track.

Shaun Ryder's Black Grape are set to release an England Euro 2016 song.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the former Happy Mondays frontman and his bandmate Kermit have joined forces with Paul Oakenfold and Goldie to become Four Lions on the track.

The football song is set to be released by BMG on 10 June- the same day Euro 2016 kicks off.

According to the band's manager Alan McGee, we can expect an interesting cameo in the video from Trainspotting writer, Irvine Welsh.

“Irvine was staying for the weekend,” McGee told the Manchester Evening News, “and now he’s dancing in the England football video!"

No doubt we can expect more famous cameos in the vid, including Bez and his maracas.

We have no idea what it's going to look and sound like... but if it's anything like England's Irie, featuring Joe Stummer, it will be amazing.

Meanwhile, Black Grape will play Penn Fest and Bingley Music Live, before embarking on a UK tour this autumn.
