Gethsemane is the first taste of new album Alarms In The Heart.
Dry the River's second album is released through Transgressive Records on 25 August 2014.
It was produced by Charlie Hugall (Florence and The Machine, Ed Sheeran), Paul Savage (Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand) and Peter Miles (We Are The Ocean, Futures, The King Blues) and with arrangements and strings from Valgeir Sigurðsson (Sigur Rós, Björk).
Speaking to Radio X's Danielle Perry last night, Pete and Matt from the band admitted they didn't wanted the first new stuff people heard to be too alien.
"I think [Gethsemane]'s the one that will feel most familiar to people who like Dry The River already so in some ways it was a gateway into the new record. The new record is quite different in places, it's a lot more full band, there's less of the kind of really acoustic thing.
"We're having some fun with it but this track is probably the one that's closest to the mould of what people will recognise as being Dry The River so it seemed like a nice introduction."
