Reading Festival Announce They Won't Be Providing Toilet Paper
Festival spokespeople say it's bad for the environment and it only gets wasted anyway.
We all know how arduous festival toilets can be. They're smelly, cramped, and often pretty messy. A big part of that is loo roll, which ends up thrown all over the place.
This year Reading Festival is taking a stand, claiming it's bad for the environment and it only gets wasted anyway.
The official Reading website says "We are always improving on our sustainability policies, this year we’re going to crack down on the sheer amount of paper/tissue we have to purchase for this, considering the amount that gets wasted rather than used for its intended purpose."
Let's be honest, who really uses the paper they find in the loos anyway? Always bring your own. Always. Check out Radio X's genuinely useful festival tips here.
