Muse, Last Shadow Puppets and more announced for Hungary's insane Sziget Festival
Hungary's Sziget Festival has gained itself a very respected reputation over the last few years. Taking place smack in the middle of the Danube river (which runs through the centre of Budapest) the festival is set on an island charmingly named "the island of freedom."
As well as being one of Europe's largest festivals, Sziget has been likened to Glastonbury for its exploration of the arts and the 24/7 atmosphere. Basically, once you're on the island it's all guns blazing until you leave. Sounds good right?
Sziget has just just announced its line up and, we've got to admit, it looks like one of the strongest of the year. Muse are set to headline, with The Last Shadow Puppets, Bloc Party, Bastille, Chvrches, Bring Me The Horizon and loads more.
Plus, the festival also boosts a handful of acclaimed pop acts, like Jess Glynne, David Guetta and Years And Years.
Unlike other festivals, Sziget is a full week long. Seven days of festival carnage. That's even longer than Glastonbury.
Sziget takes place between 10 to 17 August. Tickets are on sale now via their official site at szigetfestival.com.
