Sources suggest they are both set to top the bill on the Pyramid Stage.

Ed Sheeran and Foo Fighters will reportedly headline Glastonbury festival.

According to The Sun, The Thinking Out Loud singer will top the bill at the Somerset Festival on Saturday 24 June, with Foo Fighters closing the event on Sunday 25 June.

A source told the outlet: “Michael is delighted to get Ed signed up.

“It’s going to be a huge moment for the festival having him up there marking his comeback in front of a giant crowd.

“Ed’s always said headlining Glastonbury has been a big ambition of his.

“Topping his three sold-out Wembley Stadium shows last year will be tough, but this is as big as it gets.”

The news comes after it was reported that Ladbrokes stopped taking bets on the star making an appearance, after odds dropped to 1/3 from 1/7.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters have continued to fill their digital passport full of European festival dates next year, leaving a convenient space for Glastonbury.
