William Hill has reportedly closed betting on the third Glastonbury 2015 headliner, with the Stone Roses the odds-on favourite to play the Pyramid Stage.
A top bookmakers has stopped taking money on the identity of the third Glastonbury 2015 headliner, after they claim a flurry of bets were placed on the Stone Roses.
They said a "raft of bets" saw the iconic group's odds tumble from 12/1 to even money in less than 24 hours.
Blur remain the second favourites to headline the Sunday night slot, despite drummer and Radio X DJ Dave Rowntree ruling the band out of contention for the spot.
Prince was at 9/2, Kate Bush not far behind at 5/1 and Coldplay were hovering around 8/1 when the book closed on the festival headliners. Legendary acts Fleetwood Mac and AC/DC were both at 12/1.
"A gamble like this usually indicates an announcement is not far away," a William Hill spokesman said.
Earlier this week the festival announced a huge number of acts that will play this year, including Alt-J, Florence + The Machine and Hozier.
