The XX post photo of "winter hibernation" studio session

The electronic trio are busy working on their third album.

The xx have shared a photo from the studio, where they're working on their third album.

The Crystalised trio are expected to release the follow-up to their Coexist album next year, and have shared a pic on Facebook of their progress.

If the words "winter hibernation" in the caption are anything to go by, then they still have a way to go before completing their third LP.

Jamie XX (Smith) has been busy touring this year, after releasing his Mercury Prize- nominated solo album, In Colour. Smith is also set to play Spain's Benicàssim festival in 2016 and has just announced a gig at London's Alexandra Palace on 26 February. 

The band first revealed they were working on their next studio effort back in in August, taking to Instagram to announce: "We are working hard on our 3rd album! Can't wait to share it with you."
