The electronic trio posted letters with free tickets to some of their biggest fans.
The xx have announced details of a 2017 UK and European tour.
The trio - who just dropped their first new single in 2012 - have revealed they'll play the UK in March 2017, including three nights at the O2 Academy, Brixton.
The electronic outfit will then embark on a European tour from 8 February 2017, kicking off their dates in Stockholm, Sweden.

The band are believed to have already treated some of their biggest fans by posting them letters announcing the news, along with free tickets to their nearest show.

Tickets are on sale via a pre-sale from 10am on Tuesday 22 November before going on general sale from 10am on Friday 25 November.
The news follows the release of their See You album details and their On Hold single, which features a Hall & Oates sample.
