The Courteeners perform in Albert Square.

The pair of gigs take place on July 5 and 6, each with a capacity of 8,000. Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning (March 28), but all tickets for both dates were gone by midday.

Radio X's Tim Cocker ran a competition for the first pair of tickets on Radio X breakfast in Manchester this coming and got a phenomenal response. Clint Boon will be giving away another pair of tickets this afternoon (from 4pm) and we will be giving away more tickets nearere the date of the shows

Miles Kane, James Skelly & The Intenders, The Strypes, The Heartbreaks and Findlay will be the support acts across the two nights.

The shows follow the band's recent tour - their biggest ever so far with 20 sold out shows - as well as an incredible appearance at Radio X's sold out Winter Wonderland with Rocksmith show at O2 Academy Brixton last December.
