A fan bumped into bassist, Mani, who told him to "keep listening to the radio" this week.
The Stone Roses could be releasing new music this week, according to a fan.
The Fools Gold four-piece confirmed they were making new material back in March, and now, according to Lewis Jones who met bassist Mani in the street, there could be a new single from the band any day now.

This isn't the first time the Roses have bared all on the street, with frontman Ian Brown previously stepping outside Paul Epworth's Church Studios to reveal their new music sounded "glorious".
Noel Gallagher also told the outlet that Ian Brown told him it "was like (the band) were making their first record again".
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that the Manchester band have been forced to cancel two shows in Japan on 2 and 3 June, after Reni is believed to have fallen and fractured two ribs.
Creative Man - the promoters behind the gigs - have posted an official statement online apologising on behalf of the band.
It reads: “The Stone Roses are very sorry to have to cancel their two proposed concerts at the Budokan. Reni has had an accidental fall and fractured two ribs, his doctor has told him to rest for at least a month. Unfortunately this means that the band are unable to fulfil their planned performances in Japan.”
