The bassist for Red Hot Chili Peppers shared a video of the new ink on his Instagram page.

Yesterday (January 11th 2016) it was announced that on Sunday 10 January, David Bowie tragically lost a very secret battle with liver cancer.

The world of music was shocked and hundreds of artists took to social media to post their respect, admiration and sadness at the passing of one of history's most iconic artists.

Red Hot Chilli Pepper's bassist, Flea, was one of them, sharing an image of himself with Bowie and Anthony Kiedis.

But now Flea has gone one step further - getting a Bowie tattoo!

The bassist revealed his new ink to fans via his personal Instagram account, which was then shared by the official Red Hot Chili Peppers page.

The video shows Flea's arm, freshly tattooed, and his smiling face. The post has the caption "and these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds."
