TV personality, Greg Gutfeld, joked that the Dark Necessities band are a "poor man's Faith No More".

Red Hot Chili Peppers have been called "the worst band on the planet" by Fox News.

As reported by Consequence Of Sound, the news channel covered Flea's recent visit to Koko the Gorilla, who played the bass while the RHCP man looked on in amazement.

However, co-host of the network’s show, The Five, Greg Gutfeld, took the opportunity to mock the funk rockers, saying: "As most musicians know, this is a vast improvement over the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the worst band on the planet".

Fellow co-host Eric Bolling let the audience in on the background of the joke, saying: “The producers said you should do this story, and I said no, Gutfeld is going to say the ape is better than Flea.”

However, outspoken Gutfeld went one further, clarifying: “The ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis.

"Red Hot Chili Peppers, poor man’s Faith No More, don’t ever forget it.”

Brutal.
