Drummer Phil Selway confirms the band have taken a break from recording their new album but will be meeting up in the studio again in March to decide if the album's ready.
Back in December, Radiohead released the first images of the recording process for their ninth album with producer Nigel Godrich putting out a photo of Thom and Jonny in the studio.
Now drummer Phil Selway has said the band will be meeting again next month to review what they recorded and decide on when the album might be ready for release.
Talking to Drowned In Sound, Phil said: "We're just taking some time away for other projects.
"We'll get back to it in March and we'll make an assessment of where we are then...we've been excited about what we've been doing so far. It's by no means finished yet."
The drummer, whose second solo album Weatherhouse is out now, said he didn't want to confirm the album would be out this year, joking: "I wouldn't want to start to predict that kind of thing in a Radiohead schedule."
