Liam Gallagher has revealed his favourite British track for Radio X's Best Of British vote, and his choice may surprise you.
Oasis were known for being heavily inspired by The Fab Four, but now it seems the Live Forever star has given his final verdict on the age-old Beatles versus Stones debate.
When asked about his favourite British track, the Oasis star told Radio X:
"Jumping Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones - personally I think its one of the first punk rock songs ever made.
"The guitar riff is frightfully delicious...in fact, it's a gas gas gas. LG x”
Meanwhile, more rock stars have nailed their colours to the mast, with The Charlatans frontman, Tim Burgess, giving New Order's Blue Monday his seal of approval.
Keeping it in the '80s, Elbow's Guy Garvey chose Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush's Don't Give Up.
However, Alt-J's Gus Unger-Hamilton gave the noughties a nod, showing Jamie T's Sheila his full support.
