Noel Gallagher to play Teenage Cancer Trust 2015
Noel's High Flying Birds and Future Islands are the first two artists to be announced for next year's charity shows.
The show will take place on Saturday 28 March, just weeks after the release of Gallagher's second solo album, Chasing Yesterday.
Support on the night will come from the US band Future Islands and will form part of the charity's 15th anniversary celebrations.
Speaking about the show, Gallagher said: "Who'd have thought that after 15 years we'd be gearing up for another stint at the greatest venue in the world? Thanks to everyone, the bands, artists, comedians for all your continued support, and maximum respect to you the people for making it all possible. See you on Saturday 28 March!"
Teenage Cancer Trust patron Roger Daltrey commented: "[Noel] was with us at our first show for Teenage Cancer Trust in 2000 and is now returning to the Royal Albert Hall for the seventh time. Noel has put his heart and soul into these shows over the years, curating them in 2013 and even releasing a live album for Teenage Cancer Trust. Noel has been a pivotal supporter to our mission and I'm incredibly proud both of him and the work he's done."
Teenage Cancer Trust offers treatment and support for young people undergoing treatment for cancer. Tickets for the gig go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 16 December. See https://teenagecancertrust.org/ for more details.
