The Ballad Of The Mighty I singer has revealed the details of his boozy lunch with the Hollywood star.
Noel Gallagher has admitted Robert De Niro had no idea who he was during a "17-hour-lunch" in the South of France.
The Oasis man took to Instagram last month to share his delight at meeting the Godfather actor, who happened to be in the region at the very same time as him.
Now, speaking to the Daily Star, Gallagher has revealed: “I sat next to him and I’ve got to say he didn’t have a clue who I was."

Talking about the marathon meal he shared with one of his idols, the 49-year-old rocker suggested the pair were a little worse for wear, revealing: “As he was leaving, he said, ‘Write down the name of that band again that you were in.’"
Gallagher joked, "I had no idea what he said," before adding: “If I ever have the pleasure of meeting him again, he’ll just go, ‘I’ve never met this guy’.”
Summing up his big moment, he said: "The day after I was saying to (my wife) Sara, ‘I think the only thing that could top that would be going on a bender with Jack Nicholson, that’s it really.'”
Gallagher, however, is usually no stranger to a celeb mate or two, and called on his friends Paul Weller and Johnny Marr to help him close his his Chasing Yesterday tour last night (6 September).
Performing his first ever solo headline set at London's O2 Brixton Academy, Johnny Marr helped him perform Oasis track, Champagne Supernova and his Ballad Of The Mighty I single, while Paul Weller performed Jam songs, Pretty Green and Town Called Malice.
