The pair have taken to the stage together for the first time in five years.

Noel Gallagher reunited with Oasis guitarist Gem Archer on stage in Lincoln on Saturday (5 December).

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds were playing the city's Bishop Grosseteste University when he was joined by the guitarist for a selection of Oasis tracks.

The gig - which was part of Lincs FM's An Audience With... series - saw Noel and his band perform to an intimate crowd of 200 lucky fans.

The ex-bandmates - who haven't been on stage together since 2010 - performed Listen Up, Cast No Shadow, Slide Away and Wonderwall, to a captive audience.

Since Gem Archer was also part of the Liam Gallagher-fronted band, Beady Eye, his appearance on stage has got fans speculating about a fully-fledged Oasis reunion.

So far, Noel Gallagher has kept us all on our toes, saying the main reason Oasis won't be reuniting for the likes of Glastonbury, is the pay.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: "Would we ever do it? They don't have enough money I'm afraid.

"That's the bottom line, they just don't pay enough."

But that's not an outright no for other festivals then?

Until they get the good news, at least Oasis fans have these videos to look over:
