Nirvana 1991 Interview Footage

See a young Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and the late Kurt Cobain impart their words of wisdom to their fans.

If the 25th anniversary of Nevermind didn't get you feeling nostalgic enough last week, then this retro footage of Nirvana from the same era surely will.

Back in 1991, the up-and-coming grunge band - comprised of Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic - were interviewed at L.A's Hard N Heavy offices.

What followed was a conversation on work, play and "people standing on escalators". Yes, really.

Watch the awesome footage, uploaded to YouTube by deccy smith, here:

The video, dubbed Nirvana's "stoned" interview, also sees Krist advise people to "slack off," because they're only going to be alive for "70 years if [they're] lucky".

When asked what they think young people should do, a young Kurt jokes that they should "learn to play pool really well," while Dave Grohl suggests they "reproduce".

It's not all one big joke though, as the band talk about the feeling of being connected with their fans and playing "catch with some vibes".

Who knew Krist was so passionate about escalators, though?

Take us back!
