Muse to headline Download Festival 2015

Muse

Muse have been announced as the second headliner for the metal festival.

It has been heavily rumoured that Muse are not only back in the studio, but working on something heavy. Now, the rock trio have been announced as the second headliner of Download Festival, a traditionally metal festival. Could this be a statement of intent?

Also added to the bill were Faith No More, A Day To Remember and Marilyn Manson.

Download takes place every year at Donington Park, Derby. The festival will take place next year on the 12 - 14 June.

This follows yesterday's announcement that Slipknot would also headline the festival, alongside Judas Priest, Five Finger Death Punch and Black Stone Cherry.

Last year, Download Festival was headlined by Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park and Aerosmith.

Muse's new album is expected next year. Download Festival tickets go on sale on Thursday at 9am.
