Muse on recording their new album: "It's been emotional"

The trio are back in the studio and well into recording their seventh album.

The band have posted an image of themselves in the studio on Instagram with the caption "End of first session. It's been emotional." Although the album isn't expected till next year, this post implies they're well into the process of recording it.

On what the new album could sound like, frontman Matt Bellamy has said to expect a sequel to Origin Of Symmetry, stating "it's going to get heavy" during a Twitter Q&A this summer.

Muse are strongly rumoured to headline Glastonbury festival next year. Check out our Glastonbury Festival 2015 rumours here.
