Manic Street Preachers To Release The Official Euro 2016 Song For Wales Football Team

Together Stronger (C'mon Wales) is set for release on 20 May.

Manic Street Preachers will release the official track for the Wales Euro 2016 football team.

The Football Association of Wales have confirmed that the Blackwood outfit will release Together Stronger (C'mon Wales) in support of their country's Euro 2016 bid.   

The band also took to their Twitter, to make the announcement "with great pride".

Members of the football team also shared snaps with the band on Instagram, with central midfilder Joe Ledley posting a picture with James-Dean Bradfield and Nicky Wire:

The A Design For Life band will also feature in the accompanying video along with Wales' National Team Manager, Chris Coleman and members of the Welsh football squad.

The patriotic track is set for release on 20 May - the same time the Manics will release a special 20th Anniversary re-issue of their Everything Must Go LP.

All profits from Together Stronger (C'mon Wales) will go to the Princes Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Care.

Chris Coleman said of the news: “It was fantastic to be involved with such an iconic Welsh band. Manic Street Preachers have been passionate Welsh football supporters and all the lads enjoyed the experience and joined in. 

"It is also great to be supporting such worthwhile causes in the Princes Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Care.”

The UEFA EURO 2016 will take place in France 10 June to 10 July 2016.
