Manic Street Preachers have unveiled their official Wales Euro 2016 anthem, Together Stronger (C'Mon Wales).

The trio have come together with the Welsh football team to celebrate the first time the country has qualified for the sporting event in over 50 years.

The video features appearances from the Wales football squad at their training base at The Vale Hotel, and the track features namechecks with star players Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey.

During their footballing history, Wales have only qualified for two other major international tournaments, also reaching the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup in 1958.

Talking to Radio X about writing the track, Nicky Wire revealed it's something he'd done every time Wales were in the playoffs over the last 25 years, and this time they did it before being asked.

He revealed: "I've always sort of started to write the lyric and then it's been completely deflating. On this occasion, when we qualified we sat down and actually did the song anyway."

Talking about sitting down to write the track, he said: We just said 'It's got to be a great Manics record, first and foremost.'"

All profits from the single will go towards Welsh charities Princes Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Care.
