The Libertines singer is the first act to be scheduled for the venue, which was hit by the Paris terror attacks last year.

Pete Doherty has been scheduled to play The Bataclan in Autumn 2016.

The Parisian venue, where 89 people lost their lives in the 13 November Paris attacks, have scheduled new concerts for when they reopen at the end of the year.

According to the Bataclan's official website, the Libertine's frontman will play a solo gig at the venue on 16 November 2016.

Senegalese singer Youssou Ndour and the Super Etoile De Dakar have also been scheduled to play the refurbished venue on 18 November.

Though the Bataclan's management revealed in a press release that renovation work has begun, it has yet to confirm a reopening date.

The Libertines' singer - who lives in the French city- also released a teaser of the new music he's been working on last week.
