Liam Gallagher slams "croc brigade" Glastonbury-goers, responds to odds on Oasis headlining the festival in 2027

The Oasis frontman took to social media to react to the odds of the band headlining the festival in 2027.

Liam Gallagher has denied that Oasis will headline Glastonbury next year.

The Britpop band have been thrown amongst the mix of artists rumoured to headline the Somerset festival with some offering odds on the reunited brothers taking to the Pyramid Stage in 2027.

However, responding to a report shared on X by Oasis Mania that the band were bookies favourites to headline Worthy Farm with odds of 4/1, the Supersonic singer wrote: "It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving s*** c***s can calm the f*** down".

When a fan asked him what he dreamed about "last night," the Rock 'N' Roll star singer went one step further, replying: "I had a dream we was playing at Glastonbury and the croc brigade stormed the stage and started whipping me to death with there flags took me ages to get settled NIGHTMARE (sic)".

However, it seems the rocker has as much issue with the flags themselves than any political statements.

When another fan asked how he felt about flags brandishing "I love Oasis," he clarifed: "All flags can f*** off even the 1s that say LIAM your the best thing since SLICED BREAD I do not discriminate don’t go to a gig to have a flag swooshed in my face people wanna watch the gig (sic)".

The Oasis frontman comments come amidst heated speculation that the band are set to play a whopping six-night residency at Knebworth Park next summer.

Though no dates have been officially confirmed, earlier this month it was reported Oasis tour promoter SJM were granted an events licence at the iconic grounds, which allows them to plan and host events for up to 125,000 people up until 3am.

It has also been rumoured that the band were set to announce a 12-night residency at Etihad Stadium—the home of their beloved Man City F.C.

Meanwhile, while fans wait to hear of touring news, the official trailer and poster for the band's documentary film has been released.

As a synopsis explains, "Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s triumphant reunion tour, Oasis Live ‘25, one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time. The film is an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world. The unique perspective includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access as well as the first joint interview with Noel and Liam in over 20 years. Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide."

Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger | Official Trailer | In Theaters September 11

The film will be released in UK cinemas from September 9th 2026, including the BFI IMAX in London.

Across the pond, fans can book advance tickets to watch the film in the US and Canada from 11th September here. Additional tickets can also be bought in the region for special limited IMAX Early Access Screenings in the region on Wednesday 9th September here.

The doc will then be streamed exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on both Hulu and Disney+ in the United States later in the year.
