The former Smiths man will bring out Adrenalin Baby on 9 October, with a live tracklist that features songs from his solo career, covers and reinterpreted Smiths classics.
With a title like Adrenalin Baby, it's no surprise that Marr's first ever live album on his own will feature highlights pulled mostly from his very energetic sets at the Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo.
Opening with Playland and closing with How Soon Is Now?, the disc will span Marr's entire career, compiled from the best of three years of live sets. Also featured is Marr's mesmerising take on Getting Away With It, originally a hit for Electronic, the supergroup he formed with Neil Tennant from Pet Shop Boys and Bernard Sumner of New Order.
Adrenalin Baby will be coming out on digital, CD and limited edition pink vinyl too. Marr said: "“I wanted to capture the atmosphere and feeling of the last couple of tours...It’s been a special time and the album is a document for fans who were there, and for people who haven¹t seen me and might want to check out what the shows are about. I like live records when they¹re a good listen, It¹s turned out really well."
Marr's still on the road this year, with shows lined up for Manchester's Albert Hall on 7 and 8 October and London's Forum on 20 October.
