Frontman Yannis told Radio X about his cosmic plans at last night's NME Awards.

Foal frontman Yannis Philippakis has revealed to Radio X he wants the band to "play on the moon".

The Oxford five-piece may have just fulfilled their dream of playing a headline show at Wembley this week, but it looks like the sky (or rather, the universe) is the limit when it comes to their plans.

Asked about their next big milestone after their string of Stadium gigs, he said: "We're headlining Reading & Leeds so that's going to be pretty big for us."

In true Yannis style, he added: "After that we're going to be the first band that play on the moon".

Foals picked up the gong for Best Album at last night's NME Awards for What Went Down, but it looks like the rest of the band might have a fight on their hands to see it.

Asked if the award ends up being shared between the band's houses, drummer Jack Bevan quipped: "You think it would, but they always mysteriously turn up on Yannis' mantlepiece.
